What information we collect
- Quote and contact enquiries: your name, company name, email address, phone number (optional), the quantity and date you need, and anything you write in your message.
- Orders: billing and delivery details, order history, and the artwork or logos you send us for printing.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up.
- Emails and calls: anything you share with us when you contact us directly.
- Website usage: your IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, collected automatically through our hosting, security and advertising tools (see “Cookies” below).
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes and samples (to take steps at your request before entering into a contract).
- To produce, print and deliver your order, and to handle invoices, returns and customer service (to perform our contract with you).
- To keep business and tax records (to comply with our legal obligations).
- To protect our website from spam and misuse (our legitimate interests).
- To send you our newsletter and occasional offers, only if you have signed up (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link).
- To measure the results of our Google Ads advertising (your consent, where cookies are used).
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We only share information with service providers who help us run our business, and only as much as they need:
- Hostinger: website hosting, email marketing (newsletter) and website tools.
- Printing and manufacturing partners, including our related manufacturer in India: to produce your order. We share order specifications and artwork, and only the contact details needed to complete the order.
- Delivery and courier companies: to deliver your order.
- CleanTalk and Google reCAPTCHA: to check form submissions for spam.
- Optimole: to deliver website images quickly.
- Google: advertising measurement (Google Ads).
- Our accountants and professional advisers, and authorities such as HMRC where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of our providers, and our manufacturing partner, are based outside the UK. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are strictly necessary for the site to work and to protect it from spam. Others are used by Google Ads to measure how our adverts perform. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an order: up to 2 years.
- Customer and order records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email info@ecototes.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
